We are a small department that has adapted to its size and committed ourselves to the safety and security of its citizens and thoroughfare.
For the year 2008, The Chiefland Police Departments 12 Sworn Officers arrested over 300 offenders and answered over 4,300 calls for service in the city. We are proud to say our 2009 case clearance rate is 87.4 %. This rate is amongst the highest in the State of Florida. Most of our officers are also Sworn Deputies through the Levy County Sheriffs Office to assist the County in calls for service.
