
Deputy Chief Alfred Graves began his career in Miami, Florida, where he spent 27 years with the Miami-Dade Police Department. After retiring, he relocated to Levy County where he spent 1 year with the Williston Police Department, 2 years with the Levy County Sheriff's Office and the past 4 years with the Chiefland Police Department. During that time he has risen through the ranks as a Patrolman and as Patrol Sergeant. He was then promoted to the rank of Lieutenant where he functioned as the department's lead investigator. After being recently promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief, he oversees many of the department's daily functions such as the field training program, departmental purchasing, crime prevention programs, human resources, and professional standards.
